Good day, people!!!
Hope the week has been an easy breezy ride to you all, sans all the mid-week blues. I am having a super, power packed week and this got me reminiscing about the relaxing weekend I spent at Shiva’s gateway. Firstly, it was a lovely experience visiting this place.
A chic, business hotel, it is a mere 3 miles away from the Bangalore International airport. For a frequent flyer like me, this is the kind of place I would want to just go to and crash after a tiring day or before an early morning flight.
I visited this place on a balmy Saturday morning. The first thing that struck me was the serenity of this place. Despite its proximity to the highway, it has managed to provide that much needed respite from all the outside clatter. All thanks to its sprawling 5 acre, green patch of land that surrounds this pretty hotel.
The check-in is seamless and staff is extremely courteous. Rooms are neatly done, simply yet classy, perfect for both tired business travelers and weekend getaway guests. Bright ambiance, off white decor and wooden/marble flooring is a hallmark of these rooms. They are spic and span clean and a delight to spend time in.
Each of these rooms come with a beautiful balcony, providing an idyllic view of the greenery outside. One can even take leisure strolls in this property, which is not an option in many business chain hotels which are usually built choc-o-block.
Coming to food, I would be lying if I tell you that this wasn’t my favorite part. For one thing, I never expected a business hotel to be that spot-on with food. They have a multi-cuisine restaurant called Ambari where they have curated their own, signature dishes, each one more interesting and delectable than the other.
I fell in love with their range of salads and mocktails. They specialize in atta chicken- grilled chicken, marinated with chef’s hand-picked spices, wrapped in atta(wheat flour) sheet and fired to perfection. All their food has a strong confluence of International and Indian flavors to it.
They make some of the yummiest sizzles it’s sure to get you all drooling.
And the best part is, they organize regular food festivals, conjuring up some lip smacking, local delicacies. If you are a foodie then this is something you should never miss out on.
Do give this place a try the next time you are on Bangalore airport road and let me know your experience here.
